Two professional Cleveland sports teams fired their coaches

The Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers both fired their coaches on Sunday and today, respectively.

Tyronn Lue was fired after the Cavaliers started the season 0-6. The firing comes after three straight finals appearances, as well as the historic 2016 NBA Championship after being down 3-1 against the Golden State Warriors.

The Cavs were expected to take significant steps back this season after LeBron James left for the Los Angeles Lakers. But it is crazy to think that after Lue went through, he was fired after just six games.

As far as the Browns go, Hue Jackson ran out of excuses for hist team’s poor play. The Browns fired Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley today after their third consecutive loss put them at 2-5-1, and derailed what looked like a promising start to the season.

Prior to this season, Jackson was 1-31 in his first two seasons. The Browns won twice as many games this season (crazy, right?) with their two wins, but it wasn’t enough. Jackson’s tenure ends with a 3-36-1 record and includes a winless season. In the end, the Browns will be looking for a new coach again.
